Preventol CMK (chemical name: p-Chloro-m-cresol, PCMC, CAS No. 59-50-7) is a high-performance antimicrobial agent designed for long-term preservation of industrial formulations. Belonging to the phenolic biocide family, it provides powerful protection against bacteria, molds, and yeasts. Due to its strong chemical stability, Preventol CMK is especially effective in alkaline or high-temperature environments where many conventional preservatives lose activity.

This product appears as an off-white crystalline solid with a mild phenolic odor. It is slightly soluble in water but readily soluble in alcohols, glycols, and organic solvents, which makes it easy to disperse in paints, coatings, leather chemicals, metalworking fluids, and adhesives. Preventol CMK ensures durable protection for products during both storage and application, helping manufacturers maintain quality, prevent spoilage, and extend shelf life.
